- For small batch runs, Aerosol is king. If you are running small to medium runs, using an aerosol spray rust preventitive/water displacement product is your best bet.
- Water Displacement Oil A water displacement oil actually pushes the water out of the way and coats the metal with oil, preventing the water to oxidize on the steel. We highly recommend using a water displacement oil anytime you are black oxiding or Bluing metal.
- Teflon Additive Having a Teflon additive to your water displacement oil provides a nice, shinny finish to your new oxide coating. It also helps to prevent fingerprints from showing when parts are being handled.
